Meet The Team

Tony Farmer
Company Director

Tony has close on 30 years of experience in recruitment and care.

His hands on approach and willingness to listen goes down well with our staff.

Tony is a seasoned traveller and enjoys his holidays with wife Arlette when they are able to actually take a break, whether that be by land, air or sea!

Arlette Farmer
Registered Manager

Arlette is Black & White's Registered Care Manager. 'Tammy' has a long history in both medical and care administration within the NHS and also in the private sector.

Tammy likes to travel with hubby Tony, and she has a great interest in history around the World. At home Tammy is a keen gardener and a keeper of a multitude of various houseplants!

Gem DeGuzman
Administrator

Gem's experience in admin and the care sector is put to great use in the office, where she is often the very cheerful first point of contact for new jobseekers.

Gem's role is wide and varied and she can turn her hand to almost anything.

Mark Farmer
IT & Media

Mark is our IT, Security and Media Manager.
He has over 30 years experience in Media and Information Technology.

Mark is a former Website Designer and Editor at Hereford United FC, where he also took on many IT related tasks.
Not surprisingly Mark interests outside of work are computer and technology related.

Bola Stephens
Service Team Leader

Bola is the latest addition to our office staff.

She has experience working in the healthcare sector and the NHS.

Bola's duties involve booking shifts, interviewing staff, completing staff appraisals and other important administrative duties.

History

The Black and White Group, were formed in 2004 by three industry professionals with a purpose of supplying a unique customer-focused service to clients throughout Gloucestershire and the M4/M5 corridor.
In November 2016, two partners retired and the company was purchased by the longest standing Director, Tony Farmer. The company took this opportunity to rebrand and invest in some state of the art technology.

Since our inception, we have forged excellent relationships with our clients and business partners. We have achieved this by taking the time to really understand our clients needs.
By investing time at the beginning, we get to understand the requirements, values and culture of each client, which enables us to recruit efficiently and effectively. This in turn ensures we surpass our client’s expectations, retention rates remain high, whilst presenting excellent value for money.
